SPOILER ALERT!

Horrific and embarrassing, in my humble opinion, of course. The beginning had me believing it was going to be good…a secret military base in the desert, Roswell, New Mexico, Hangar 18, Russians ambushing U.S. soldiers, the warehouse that stored the Ark of the Covenant from the first Indiana Jones, atomic bomb testing…it had it all!

Then, for some bizarre reason, the story goes to Peru with natives, a weird skull, ants, a strange circle of aliens, and a spaceship. Pathetic. I loved how the 1st and 3rd movies tied things into history with the Germans and WWII.

For example, the third installment had Indy getting his Dad’s book signed by Hitler in Berlin, well, accidentally. Cool stuff! This one had no heart at all. If I wouldn’t have been with Angela, I would have walked out of the theate when the natives started coming out of the ceiling in the caves. My eyes rolled harder than when I hear an e-GALS fan say “THIS IS THE YEAR!”

Pics 1-9 were at our apartment. Angela’s parents and sister stopped by for a dinner party. Angela made some great food (I picked out the wine, one of the most physically and mentally challenging duties of the evening). Afterwards we celebrated Angela’s birthday. That was Saturday.

Sunday we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to meet up with some friends for Brunch as seen in Pic 10.

Since we were in Central Park, we stopped by the Boathouse for some drinks and relaxation. Luckily we had a chair underneath a tree to keep dry during a short rainstorm.

Sorry to pass along some sad news, Greg Gambler died of cancer on Saturday. He was living his last days up on Linden Street in Fleetwood with his mom. My dad delivers mail to that neighborhood and said he saw Greg as recently as last week when he came to the door to get the mail.

I haven't seen him since maybe 10 years ago when he was bartending at the Kutztown Pub. I alway remember him as a really friendly guy who was always willing to talk to the underclassmen. I don't think we would have won the 1990 District 3 basketball championship without him. He was a good power forward, especially when teamed up with Todd Wegman ("Haas"). Wasn't it at the Geigle Complex? I know I went, but I'm sure BC will correct me if I'm wrong on anything.

I remember one time Tim Phillips, Steiny, and I went to the 5th Street Arby's and realized that Greg was behind the counter as the manager. After getting our food, he sat with us at our booth and hung out. He was making fun of the customers, the job, his employees, etc. and I remember us all laughing our asses off.

Those times at the Pub when everyone used to hang out are some good memories, too. For some reason, I think Greg used to give us more Yuengling Lager pitchers than what we ordered. Weird! Those were also the days when Joel's blue escort was still alive. I wonder if P.T. still is the bouncer, or if Todd Burkert took over? One time my sister Ashley was with and I told P.T. she was 21 so she could get in, but really she was only 20. Shame on me. Anyway, someone told him and he gave me the third degree about it so we left, but I digress.

Anyway, this is the second person from school in the last year that I know of dying, the other being Amy Reeser at the end of last year. Seeing fellow schoolmates pass away is definitely sad, but if anyone has some good stories or memories, feel free to add them, I'm sure we'd all love to hear them, I know I would.

Which is hotter fans, the big glasses or the STEAM?! I currently weigh about 200. I graduated high school at 160...you can do the math. Actually, I'm just kidding. Adam P., take 200 (into your calculator) and hit the minus button followed by the 160 and "=" sign. You should get an answer of 40.

I know that my fans just can't get enough! This scanner is getting dangerous. Hmmmm, 4th and 5th grades are scanned in. Julie, are you SURE they're not allowed to go up?!
